The Haycock Hotel, one of England\'s finest coaching inns, dates back to 1620. Its impressive faàade dominates the idyllic stone village of Wansford-in-England, set in unspoilt countryside on the banks of the River Nene.

Discerning guests can enjoy our award winning gardens, beautiful grounds; intimate atmospheric courtyard. Petanque courts, cricket pitch and parkland that sweep down to the tree lined River Nene.

Beautifully presented inside and out, The Haycock set within a ‘chocolate box’ village, has retained its great character and charm. Our luxuriously decorated bedrooms in the old inn once played host to Princess Victoria and Mary Queen of Scots on her way to Fotheringhay. Among the many modern day celebrities to have visited, we are proud to have been graced with the presence of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Our facilities designed with the needs of the 21st century in mind, cater for guests with special needs and include a ballroom, outstanding restaurants (a la carte and brasserie) and a fully equipped business centre with dedicated business support staff and a range of private meeting rooms to accommodate guests from 4-250. We cater for society weddings, corporate weekends and business conferences to intimate dinners and luxurious lunches.

Directions

By road from the North Take the A1 South towards London, five miles South of Stamford take the junction A47 Peterborough/Leicester.At Junction of A47, turn right across dual carriageway heading towards Leicester. Follow the road for 200 yards, then turn left into Wansford. Continue to ‘T’ junction and go straight over heading onto the bridge; The Haycock can now be seen on the left. From the South Take the A1 North heading towards Stamford. Six miles North of Peterborough (junction A1/A605) turn off the Wansford slip road. The Haycock will now be in view with the entrance to the car park in front of you. From the East/West Follow the A47 turning off into Wansford, adjacent to the A1. Follow the road down to the ‘T’ junction and go straight over, heading onto the bridge; The Haycock can now be seen on the left.
