The Cormorant Hotel is an independent luxury Hotel, which nestles on a hillside high above the glorious River Fowey, in the Cornish village of Golant. Unwind in this unspoilt and peaceful spot, taking in the sights and sounds of the river whilst enjoying our friendly and attentive service, and top quality food and wines, in comfortable and welcoming surroundings. All guest bedrooms have fine river views; most rooms have balconies, all are en-suite and have lovely beds with goose feather and down duvets and pillows, and cotton bed linen. All are equipped with flat screen digital television, free wireless broadband access and beverage facilities. Please note our non smoking policy extends to all balconies. Every room has been thoughtfully furnished to provide you with the most relaxing space possible so that you can enjoy these beautiful surroundings in comfort The site is steep and terraced, unsuitable for the less mobile, and for guests under 16 years, but the breathtaking views outweigh any difficulty of narrow Cornish lanes and our steep drive. Once up here, you won't want to leave. If you do decide to go out we are ideally located for visits to Fowey, The Eden Project , The lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House, the Charlestown Shipwreck & Heritage Centre, and much more. Bodmin Moor and the Coastal Footpath of Cornwall are within very easy reach, and we are well placed to access all the events that are staged during the Daphne Du Maurier Festival, each May.

Directions

Take A30, signposted to Launceston Follow this until you reach the left turn for Bodmin (A389) Follow this road until you reach a junction. Turn right, following signs to the Town Centre At the bottom of the Town turn left on to the B3268, signposted Lostwithiel Continue on B3268 until Fork (left is signed Lostwithiel) turn right on B3269 signed Fowey At the next junction turn right on to the A390, continue for approximtely 500 yds then turn left, rejoining the B3269 to Fowey After a further 3 miles turn left, at the junction signposted Golant Follow this road down into Golant, all the way to the harbour and follow the road round to the right, along the riverside to the end of the road, where you will see our sign on the right. Please Note: the use of satalite navigation systems will usually result in mis-direction to The Cormorant.
