After under going a major refurbishment in early 2009 the Golf Hotel has now reopened and is going from strength to strength with the help of local business and the tourism trade. With growing function trade and traditional Sunday Carvery this hotel has everything to offer including breathtaking local walks and cycle tracks in and around the Solway coast renowned as a an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Golf Hotel is situated on the main street in Silloth a small coastal town in the North West of Cumbria on the edge of the beautiful Lake District also just a short swing away is the highly acclaimed 18 hole Championship link Golf Course named the Silloth-On-Solway Golf Club. Silloth is noted for its invigorating but mild climate, its leisurely peaceful atmosphere and perhaps most of all, its glorious sea views and sunsets. Situated in close proximity to the northern Lake District, Silloth is a good centre to visit the historic City of Carlisle, the Roman Wall and the South West of Scotland visible on the opposite shore of the Solway Firth.
