The Waggon & Horses is a family owned country pub hotel restaurant in North Essex close to the Suffolk county border half way between Colchester and Cambridge near to Halstead, Braintree, Sudbury and Haverhill. A good stopping off place for Stansted Airport, Constable Country and Hedingham Castle. Wi-Fi broadband connection available free to guests.

The Waggon & Horses is a handsome XVIth century inn standing on the main road at Great Yeldham close to the Essex/Suffolk border. Great Yeldham lies on the old main road (ex A604) from Harwich to Cambridge, and is near to Halstead, Sudbury and Haverhill. Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town, is only 20 miles away and the University City of Cambridge only 30 miles. The Norman Keep (built 1140) at Castle Hedingham is only 2 miles away. A great stop for STANSTED AIRPORT, 20 miles (40 minutes) away.
