As an independently owned hotel, the comfort and satisfaction of our guests and attention to detail is at the heart of everything that we do. The Benefield Wheatsheaf is situated in the village of Upper Benefield between the towns of Oundle and Corby and and has stunning views of the rolling Northamptonshire countryside. A former coaching inn, the traditional stone building dates back to the 17th century and is the perfect location to relax and enjoy peaceful surroundings, tasty bar meals, afternoon tea or fine dining in our restaurant and personal, attentive service. The hotel offers high quality accommodation in 19 individually furnished, en-suite rooms and is ideally suited for business and leisure guests visiting East Northamptonshire and Rockingham Forest. Weddings and parties are our speciality – we are licensed to perform civil wedding ceremonies and have private dining facilities for up to 60 people. Larger parties of up to 150 can be accommodated in a marquee on the lawn. The surrounding area is rich in attractions and events including historic sites, traditional villages, horse trials and motor racing at Rockingham Motor Speedway. For the active minded there are excellent opportunities for golfing, walking, cycling, fishing and shooting.
