Directions

Simply forget the perception that Inverness is remote. Indeed it is a remarkably accessible destination at all times of the year, not to mention the wonderful journeys through beautiful Scottish scenery that can be enjoyed whether by car, train or coach, in getting here. And at journey's end, a very special Highland hotel. Its location in the centre of the city, guarding the railway station, makes it almost unmissable. And it is so easy to get to Inverness itself. From Edinburgh - M9 then A9 From Glasgow there is a choice of routes. The most direct is A/M80 via Stirling, then M9 to Perth, and A9 to Inverness. Or you can indulge in the scenic delights of the A 82 via Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor, Glencoe and past Fort William and Ben Nevis, then skirting the western side of Loch Ness virtually all the way. From Aberdeen - A96 to Inverness From the south - M1/A1 to Edinburgh then as above, or M6/M74/M73 then A/M80 and onward as above.
