Description:

The Riverside Inn dates back to the mid 17th century and stands on the site of the old Springfield Mill on the River Chelmer. This incredible building has been refurbished, restoring its unique history character and charm. The hotel features the original mill stream running underneath, exposed oak beams and an 8ft spur wheel.

Chelmsford town centre, cathedral and main line station are all five minutes on foot from the hotel, with trains running every 10 minutes to London's Liverpool Street.

You can choose to eat in the traditional Riverside bar or first-floor restaurant. Weather permitting, you can enjoy your meal in the riverside garden overlooking the Chelmer.
