Eagle House, a fine listed Georgian House lies in the heart of the beautiful conservation village of Bathford 3 miles from Bath. The house and its large garden are set on the edge of an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the southern fringe of the Cotswolds.

There are six bedrooms, including some large family rooms (children stay free when sharing their parents' accommodation) and all rooms are with their own private facilities.

Each room overlooks garden or countryside and some have far reaching views beyond the river Avon to Bath.

Remote control colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and hair-driers are standard equipment in all rooms.

In the main house all rooms have broadband internet access and there is a small area with wireless free connection.

There is a large, elegant drawing room with a 16 foot ceiling, (which can also be made available for private business meetings). Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks - we'll happily supply glasses and ice free of charge. There are log fires in Winter months.

In addition, there is cottage set in the old Walled Garden, adjacent to the main garden. Here there are 2 further bedrooms (each with an en-suite bathroom) plus a kitchen and a sitting room. Outside there's a private stone patio with a table and chairs. The cottage has been designed in such a way that it is possible to book just one bedroom plus the sitting room and kitchen.
There's ample private off-street parking and for those without their own transport there's an excellent bus service with 3 an hour both into and out of the city.
John & Rosamund Napier, the resident owners, have been running Eagle House for over 20 years and have established it (see The Good Hotel Guide, The Which? Hotel Guide and the DK Eyewitness Guide) as one of the nicest places to stay in the Bath area.

We are about 3 miles from Bath. Detailed map and instructions below.

By car:

From M4 Motorway - Exit M4 at junction 18 following signs A46 Bath for 7 miles.
At this point follow signs A4 Chippenham and A363 Bradford on Avon for a further 2 miles. (Do NOT exit the A4 towards Bath).
Turn right onto A363 Bradford on Avon for 150 yards only
then fork left into Bathford Hill.
Go up Bathford Hill for 250 yards and turn first right into Church Street
we are 200 yards along on the right hand side (see village map) behind a high stone wall and wrought iron gates leading to our private car park.
As we are a listed building within a conservation village we do not display a "Hotel" sign. We are Eagle House not Eagle Lodge.

From Bath City centre: Follow signs A4 Chippenham for 3 miles and then turn right onto A363 Bradford on Avon then as above.
By Train:

London (Paddington) to Bath 1 1/4 hours. From Station (3 miles) by taxi or Bus No's 13b, 33 or 733. Transport can be arranged.
