This magnificent Victorian country mansion is situated in the heart of Derbyshire, just 8 miles from Derby and 2 miles from the flourishing market town of Belper. It is a hotel in which the grandeur of the setting combines with warmth and attentiveness of our staff to make each guest fell really special.

Makeney Hall Hotel is set in six acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and provides breath-taking views across the Amber Valley and the Peak District. These tranquil surroundings alongside the extensive meeting, conference and training facilities make it a popular choice for business events, wedding receptions and other special occasions. With some of the most beautiful parts of the country on it doorstep, Makeney Hall Hotel is also the perfect place for guests looking simply for a leisurely break in a truly hospitable environment.

A superb choice of conference and meeting rooms, including an independent training centre, is available at Makeney Hall. The training centre, comprising of four rooms able to accommodate from eight to 20 delegates, provides a private working environment, which enables our guests to obtain all their meeting's objectives.

Directions:

Road: From M1 South exit at J25 follow A52 to Derby then A6 to Matlock. From M1 North exit at J28 following A38 to Derby/Burton and follow signs A6 to Matlock. The hotel is situated just off the A6 in Milford. Turn off the A6 at the King William Pub. The hotel is approx 250 yards on the right hand side.
