Description:

A 16th Century Ferrymans Inn standing on the banks of the River Wharfe in one of the loveliest villages in the Yorkshire Dales. Family owned and run The Red Lion is renowned for its excellent food (AA rosetted) and its Yorkshire hospitality
Traditionally panelled and floored in Oak by local craftsmen - the bar is a popular meeting and eating place for villagers and guests alike. We serve a wide selection of cask conditioned real ales and fine wines to be enjoyed along with an extensive brasserie menu.Imaginative, seasonally changing menus, using only the finest of locally sourced ingredients have given The Red Lion a 'dining room with a difference'. Beef, lamb, pork and free range eggs are supplied to us by local farms, and game in season is supplied from nearby estates.
All our bedrooms are individually designed and furnished - successfully combining ancient and modern. Gleaming bathrooms, Victorian brass beds, beamed ceilings, antique furniture - our Honeymoon Suites even have log fires. Most of the rooms also offer wonderful views to the river and the fells beyond.
We have many excellent walks starting from the hotel - and are actually situated on the Dalesway. We offer private fishing and sell tickets for a further 7 miles of fishing on the River Wharfe.
We are licenced for civil weddings - our 3 interconnecting rooms which are floored and panelled in oak will accommodate 15 to 125 persons. We also have excellent newly refurbished conference facilities with all the usual audio and visual equipment. The riverside room which is available for either weddings or conferences has a wood burning stove and leads directly onto the terraces at the side of the river.

ON THE B6160 BETWEEN BOLTON ABBEY AND GRASSINGTON. TURN OFF THE A59 HARROGATE TO SKIPTON ROAD AT BOLTON ABBEY. FOLLOW THE ROAD ALONG TO BURNSALL
