Maes y Neuadd is a charming 14th century manor house set in 85 acres of beautiful gardens in the heart of Snowdonia with spectacular views of the mountains and Cardigan Bay.
The house has 15 comfortable bedrooms; a 2 rosette restaurant with exceptional cuisine using only the finest, freshest ingredients with much of the fruit, herbs and vegetables coming from our own kitchen gardens as well as locally sourced Welsh lamb, beef and game, line caught fish and a wide selection of Welsh Farmhouse cheeses accompanied by a selection of reasonably priced wines from our award winning wine list; garden terrace, sunny lounges and bar with cosy ingle nook fireplace.
Ideally situated as a base to visit all major attractions in area, Maes y Neuadd, or “The Mansion in the Meadow” is the perfect place to spend a quiet weekend, midweek getaway or family holiday. Our style offers a unique combination of comfort and warmth in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and all are welcome. We have a family dining room for parents with small children and offer room service or early teas with child listening and baby sitting by arrangement. We also accept pets in some of the Coach House rooms.
We are licensed for civil ceremonies large and small and can offer exclusive use for private functions and house parties. Themed breaks include Wine Weekends, Valentine’s, Fireworks & Fizz, Murder Mystery, Christmas and New Year. Open all year to non-residents for morning coffee, lunches, afternoon tea, bar snacks and dinner.
Directions:
Between Porthmadog and Harlech - 3 miles NE of Harlech. Take the B4573 old Harlech road at T-junction with A496. Hotel signed 1/4 mile on the left. Take small lane on left immediately after sign, just before a small bridge on the bend. Hotel entrance and car park 1/2 mile up the hill, after a small hamlet of Eisengrug. Follow brown signs from Talsarnau or Harlech.

We are usually busy at weekends but quieter during the week - Sunday to Thursday - through the winter and spring - so the best deals are mid week breaks of 2 nights or more. Rates are subject to availability
