Dating back to the 14th century this granite and slate manor house is now a 3 star country house hotel offering comfortable accommodation in 15 individually designed en-suite rooms. Owned and run by Lynn & Peter Jackson and Peter Payne, we extend a warm welcome and friendly, relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy your stay in beautiful Snowdonia where the mountains meet the coast.

One of the highlights of our 80 acres of grounds are the walled kitchen gardens which produce most of the herbs, hard and soft fruit, vegetables and flowers gathered daily for use in our highly acclaimed 2 rosette restaurant. Only the finest, freshest, locally sourced ingredients are used in imaginative dishes which include Welsh lamb and beef, fish from Cardigan Bay and Menai Strait and a wide selection of Welsh Farmhouse cheeses accompanied by freshly squeezed juices, Welsh wines, spirits and liqueurs from our AA Notable Wine List 2008-09.

Children welcome and dogs accepted in some of the Coach House rooms. Home grown produce and homemade preserves for sale. Open all year to welcome residents and non-resident guests. Member of the National Gardens Scheme. Licensed for weddings, we specialise in private house parties and have a number of special breaks and theme weekends to offer throughout the year - Fireworks and Fizz, Christmas and New Year, Wine Weekend, Valentine's Weekend etc

Ideally situated for all major attractions in Snowdonia - Portmeirion, numerous sandy beaches, castles, Welsh Highland Railway, Bodnant Gardens, golf courses (Royal St David's 10 minutes away) fishing, horse riding, clay shooting, quad biking, walking, cycling, bird watching and much, much more!

Directions:

Between Porthmadog and Harlech - 3 miles NE of Harlech. Take the B4573 old Harlech road at T-junction with A496. Hotel signed 1/4 mile on the left. Take small lane on left immediately after sign, just before a small bridge on the bend. Hotel entrance and car park 1/2 mile up the hill, after a small hamlet of Eisengrug. Follow brown signs from Talsarnau or Harlech.

We are usually busy at weekends but quieter during the week - Sunday to Thursday - through the winter and spring - so the best deals are mid week breaks of 2 nights or more.
