Description:

Steeped in history, this majestic grade II Georgian Country Hotel over looking The River Wye and valley below, boasts many famous visitors including Queen Victoria and Charles Dickens, who planned his American Biography whilst staying here. The Royal now combines all the friendliness and charm of a traditional country hotel long with the best standards of food, wine, and comfort expected from a modern establishment.
Along with the 42 en-suite bedrooms we have a bar dining area and restaurant. We offer a seasonal menu, with a wide selection of modern and traditional British favourites, from hearty main courses to lighter snacks, complimented by a selection of real ales, carefully selected wines, speciality teas and coffees. The Royal boasts 3 further function rooms suitable for weddings, conferences and private dining. Please feel free to ask a member of our staff to show you these
facilities during your stay.

Directions:

From M5 J8 take M50 to Ross-on-Wye. Ignore sign to town centre and follow A40 over the river to Wilton roundabout. Turn left onto the B4260, then take the second right up the hill to the Hotel.
