The Castle and Ball |
Contact Us: |
Situated in the centre of Britain´s widest street, the Castle and Ball has had an interesting past. Called the Antelope from 1745 to 1763, it was renamed The Castle and Ball, which may well have been a misspelling of Castle and Bull, both of which are to be seen on the Borough Arms. It has stood since the 15th century, with some of the hotel´s surviving original oak timbers pre–dating the Spanish Armada. |
