Contact Us: |
The Old Ferry Boat is the oldest inn in England and its foundations have been dated to 560AD. The inn overlooks the river Great Ouse which winds its way caressingly around the tiny hamlet of Holywell, near St Ives, Cambridgeshire. In the bar you will see the grave of Juliet Tewsley who was buried here in 1050AD. Juliet was a beautiful 17 year old girl who committed suicide after losing the love of the woodcutter´s son. In the summer you can relax in our extensive gardens. |
